I have found yoga to be deeply healing, enabling me to get in touch with inner calm, resilience and strength. I get great satisfaction in sharing the therapeutic benefits of this practice with others. 

Yoga Therapy

A place to heal.

Using the nourishing and energising power of the breath, and yoga and meditation practices, to give you space to improve your health and wellbeing.

You work collaboratively with the therapist to find a place of balance in your body and your mind. From this space you can reconnect with your inner spirit and find more energy and peace.

Yoga therapy helps alleviate physiological and physical symptoms to improve your overall physical and emotional wellbeing.

Practices include relaxation techniques, breathing practices, physical postures, meditation, restorative yoga and yoga nidra.

I went to Anni for yoga therapy because I had a neck and shoulder ache but through the sessions I realised that I was emotionally struggling with my bereavement. By the end of my 5th session I had no pain and felt more energetic.

Anni was gentle and supportive to guide me to find what is right for me in a practice to help me physically and emotionally. I was able to use these tools because they fitted in with my busy daily life.

Wednesday evening, 90 minute yoga classes at Rhodes Avenue School runs for six week terms with taster classes also available.
Also small Monday morning classes run in Woodfield Way N11.

Meditation

Come join our regular Friday morning Mindful Meditators group where you will be led through a range of meditation and mindfulness practices to help you feel emotionally and psychologically calmer and clearer.

These sessions are run jointly by Anni and Ray. Ray usually leads the session one week and Anni the next.

This is an intimate group with the sessions taking place in the garden room in Woodfield Way or occasionally we set out on a walking meditation -usually around the time of the summer or winter Solstice.

Meditation is a natural state occurring when your mind is so concentrated on something that you get totally engrossed and lose track of time. Regular practice can improve your state of wellbeing. It can help you feel more peaceful, calm, relaxed and focused. It may also improve your sleeping pattern and affect how happy and productive you feel.

Meditating regularly is likely to help you more easily “step into” a meditative state of mind.

If you don’t know what meditation is or wonder whether it has anything to offer you- I’d say you really should try this course. Anni and Ray very gently and confidently lead you along the path to exploring the process and finding the richness and peace it offers.
